  • The Atomos Shogun Flame is a 7", 1920 x 1200 on-camera recording monitor that combines 4K recording with a 10-bit FRC panel that supports native display of HDR (log) footage as well as high brightness viewing of Rec. 709 footage. It utilizes 4K HDMI and 12G-SDI inputs to support clean output signals at resolutions up to UHD 4K (3840 x 2160), recording it to 2.5" SSDs using 10-bit, 4:2:2 Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHR codecs. It even supports DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) raw video streams over SDI from select Sony and Canon cameras, encoding it as ProRes/DNxHR files

A robust media solution designed for Atomos recorders, the G-Technology Atomos Master Caddy HD contains a 1TB hard-disk drive capable of recording and storing HD video. 9.Tascam’s HD-P2 is an incredibly lightweight 2-channel stereo field recorder. It’s sound quality and low distortion is a huge plus, however it’s use of Compact Flash and Microdrive storage is limited and can be a major drawback. It also boasts a wealth of functions and abilities, the only issue is that many of these functions tend to go unused.

10.Roland’s R-44 field recorder is a quality field recorder for independent videographers and filmmakers. It’s form factor, while not the easiest to navigate weighs less than 3 lbs making the recorder extremely lightweight.
